On a mission trip to Central America, I was providing medical care to a young boy (6 or so years old) who had pneumonia. I had given him a 10 day course of antibiotics. I knew that many people took medicine until they felt better and then kept the rest for later so I wanted him to be sure and complete the course. I told him in my broken Spanish to complete the medicine to be mujer. I should have said mejor. His eyes got big and and wide. Luckily, his mother was at bedside and told me that I had just told him that if he took took all of his medicine, he would be a woman.
My favorite conversion tools are Siri or Alexa! No math needed, as in “Hey Siri, convert 19 degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit.” And as long as you remember 24, it always a safe setting for any HVAC system!
One of the biggest adjustments I had in South Korea was personal space! I always felt like I was moving, dodging, backing away from people there!
A very rough / easy conversion from C to F is to double the C number, then add 32.
